Lucio Perotti is “one of the most valuable pianists of his generation, with a wide piano repertoire and attitude for improvisation and contemporary music” (The Carousel).
Lucio Perotti is a solo pianist and plays in the PMCE Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble and at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome.
Recently he performs, with the PMCE, at La Biennale di Venezia 2018 in Dialogues, for piano and chamber orchestra, by Elliott Carter and in Yellow Shark by Frank Zappa.
As a soloist he plays in very important festivals including Ravenna Festival, La Biennale di Venezia, Bartók Festival, Sagra Musicale Malatestiana, RomaEuropaFestival and the GOG Giovine Orchestra Genovese where will plays Schönberg and Prokofiev in 2020.
At the Teatro dell’Opera of Rome he is works, as soloist and first piano, in important productions including Lulu by A. Berg, Asyla by Thomas Adès and I was lookin the ceiling and then I saw the sky by John Adams.
He collaboraterd with important composers including Ivan Fedele, Unsuk Chin, Mark Gray, Peter Eötvös and Steve Reich, with artists such as Ute Lemper, Reggie Workman and Paolo Fresu and with international directors such as Peter Eötvös, Alexander Briger, Paul Daniel, Jonathan Stockhammer and Peter Rundel.
