The advanced violin course sets out to train musicians who, having acquired a knowledge of the literature of their instrument, are able to take on a professional career, on the concert platform or in teaching, on firmer foundations.
The annual study plan covers the repertoire for:
• solo instrument.
• chamber ensemble.
• instrument and orchestra.
Each student is entitled to two lessons a month, attended by both the teacher and the collaborative pianist, from September to June (or July, depending on the calendar), for a total of 20 sessions. The repertoire is agreed with the teacher, also with a view to taking part in competitions and concerts; the schedule of internal examinations is set by the teacher together with each student.
The advanced training courses are aimed at Italian and international students who wish to build on skills already acquired elsewhere.
Aims and methods are agreed case by case, according to each student’s needs.
