Guidi Virginia
In July 2019 she won the fourth “Michiko Hirayama” scholarship, awarded by the Fondazione Isabella Scelsi under the patronage of Nuova Consonanza and the Japanese Cultural Institute.

In 2019 she gave the seminar “Voci Contemporanee” as part of ElettroAQustica 2019 in the Aula Magna of the A. Casella Conservatoire in L’Aquila, and since 2020 she has worked with Federico Placidi on a workshop in contemporary vocal technique for electronic music students at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome. Since 2015 she has been a member of Nicholas Isherwood’s Voxnova Italy; in 2017 she founded and now coordinates the CumTempora Ensemble (directed by Tonino Battista) and the EVO Ensemble (a vocal ensemble of young singers that has worked with the German Academy at Villa Massimo, contributed to the soundtrack of the film KOI produced by Journeyman Pictures and won the 2021 Biennale College call for under-25 vocal ensembles).


Nel 2019 ha tenuto il seminario “Voci Contemporanee” nell’ambito di ElettroAQustica 2019 presso l’Aula Magna del Conservatorio A. Casella de L’Aquila e dal 2020 collabora con il M° Federico Placidi per un laboratorio sulla vocalità contemporanea per gli studenti di muisca elettronica presso il Saint Louis Colle ge of Music di Rome. Dal 2015 fa parte di Voxnova Italy di N. Isherwood, nel 2017 ha fondato e coordina il CumTempora Ensemble (diretto dal M° Tonino Battista) e l’EVO Ensemble (ensemble vocale di giovani cantanti che ha collaborato con l’Accademia Tedesca di Villa Massimo, ha preso parte alla colonna sonora del fil KOI prodotto da Journeyman Pictures e ha vinto il Bando 2021 della Biennale College per Ensemble vocali under 25).

She has trained in theatre, with particular study of the Paris school of Jacques Lecoq, and has worked with leading performers (G. Schiaffini, M. Benvenuti, N. Isherwood, M. Ota, A. Clementi) and prestigious institutions (ETI, the Silvio D’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts, the National Academy of Dance, the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire, the A. Casella Conservatoire, the German Academy at Villa Massimo, the Fondazione Scelsi). She has appeared at major festivals (EMUfest, the Venice Biennale, Milan Piano City, ArteScienza, San Leo Festival, MA/IN, ElettroAQustica) and in installations by well-known artists (Allora & Calzadilla, Thomas De Falco). Since January 2021 she has been taking the diplôme de perfectionnement in contemporary singing at the Montbéliard Conservatoire in the class of Nicholas Isherwood.
She took her specialisation with distinction at the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire in vocal chamber music with Silvia Schiavoni, with a dissertation on the relationship between performer and composer in electroacoustic music.

Dal gennaio 2021 frequenta il diplôme di perfectionnement in canto contemporaneo presso il Conservatorio di Montbéliard nella classe del M° Nicholas Isherwood.

Si specializza con lode presso il Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Musica Vocale da Camera con Silvia Schiavoni con una tesi sul rapporto tra interprete e compositore nella musica elettroacustica.
