Shengyang Luo
Born on 13 April 1991 in Anhui, China, Luo Shengyang showed an innate passion for music and the arts from an early age.

His dedication and natural talent led him to pursue advanced training in Italy, a country renowned for its musical and operatic tradition.

His academic journey in Italy began at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”, where he took a degree in linguistic and cultural mediation between 2017 and 2021. These studies gave him a deep understanding of linguistic and cultural nuance, enriching his musical interpretation and allowing him to build bridges between cultures through his art.

La sua dedizione e il talento naturale lo hanno portato a intraprendere un percorso formativo di alto livello in Italy, paese rinomato per la sua tradizione musicale e lirica.

Il suo viaggio accademico in Italy ha avuto inizio presso l'Università degli Studi di Napoli L’Orientale, dove Luo ha conseguito una laurea in Mediazione Linguistica e Culturale tra il 2017 e il 2021. Tali studi gli hanno fornito una profonda comprensione delle sfumature linguistiche e culturali, arricchendo la sua interpretazione musicale e permettendogli di costruire ponti tra culture diverse attraverso la sua arte.

Luo pursued his passion for opera singing at the Aimart International Academy of Music and Arts and at the “Gaetano Braga” Conservatoire in Teramo, completing a three-year course in opera singing at both institutions between 2017 and 2021. His training was completed with a two-year course in opera singing at the “Arturo Toscanini” Conservatoire in Ribera, which he finished in 2023.
Besides his formal training, Luo has had the opportunity to learn from teachers of international standing in a number of masterclasses. He has studied with Leone Magiera, Ugo Benelli, Shelley Jackson, Sergio La Stella and David Ciavarella.

Luo ha coltivato la sua passione per il canto lirico presso l'Accademia Internazionale di Musica e Arte AIMART ed il Conservatorio di Musica Gaetano Braga Teramo, completando un triennio in canto lirico in entrambe le istituzioni tra il 2017 e il 2021. La sua formazione si è ulteriormente conclusa con un biennio in canto lirico presso il Conservatorio di Musica Arturo Toscanini Ribera, che ha concluso nel 2023.

Oltre alla sua formazione formale, Luo ha avuto l'opportunità di apprendere da maestri di fama mondiale attraverso diverse masterclass. Ha avuto l'onore di studiare sotto la guida di Leone Magiera, Ugo Benelli, Shelley Jackson, Sergio La Stella e David Ciavarella.

Luo’s concert career began in China, with appearances in cities including Chuzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai between 2012 and 2016. These concerts, ranging from solo recitals to performances with orchestra, established his reputation as one of the emerging young talents on the opera scene.

La carriera concertistica di Luo ha avuto inizio in China, con esibizioni in città come ChuZhou, NanJing, Hefei, Beijing, Chengdu e Shanghai tra il 2012 e il 2016. Questi concerti, che spaziavano da recital solistici a esibizioni con orchestra, hanno consolidato la sua reputazione come uno dei giovani talenti emergenti nel panorama lirico.

Returning to his roots, Luo has also given lessons and masterclasses in various Chinese cities, sharing his skills and his passion with the next generation of artists.

Tornando alle sue radici, Luo ha anche tenuto lezioni e masterclass in varie città cinesi, condividendo le sue competenze e la sua passione con la prossima generazione di artisti.
