Harp
The pre-academic courses are aimed at children, young people and adults who wish to begin studying music. They provide training, organised into levels of competence and periods of study, that prepares students for admission to the three-year academic courses of Italian higher arts and music education (AFAM) or to a three-year degree in Dams – music pathway.
Foundation level
The course offers a first approach to and knowledge of the instrument, together with basic set-up and the development of technique, following the student’s natural physical and emotional disposition. The aim is to achieve the all-round foundation needed for admission to the advanced courses and to bring out the student’s gifts to the full.
Advanced level
The course develops instrumental technique, builds interpretative technique, and prepares students instrumentally, interpretatively and emotionally for performance competitions and youth-orchestra auditions. The aim is to achieve the complete preparation required to sit the entrance examination for the three-year academic courses and to follow them.
